Propane Generator The Manuel For My Propane Generator In My New RV Calls For Oil That Is Rated SJ, SH, SG. I Can Not Find Oil?

The manuel for my propane generator in my new RV calls for oil that is rated SJ, SH, SG. I can not find oil? - propane generator

these letters on the back of the bottle. Could it be that the manual is old, and oil is simply the best oil that was then available and that newer oils such as CJ-4 oils would be suitable for use in the generator, and possibly better than other listed in the manual.
What do you think?

API oil ratings are constantly updated - the current level of SM. And in general, is that newer is better. But it is a by-the-way that could influence their choice.

The current standard petroleum, SM, contains no ZDDP. ZDDP is a combination of zinc phosphate has been used for decades to protect wear points on the valve, particularly the weak point where the metal cam push contacts metal. ZDDP is a potential poisoner of catalysts, pressures identified by the EPA led to the new specification API. If the generator has a catalyst then SM is the right way, but if not, they still contain ZDDP oils, or to improve the addition of an oil additive ZDDP, the life of the generator. No manufacturer of motor oil, are too much to sell something that interests are not approved by the automakers, so that the search for oil additives ZDDP or will not for car use can end. But I would not get me awake all night.
